Description
A quick and healthy orange chicken that’s bright, slightly sweet, and cooks in just 30 minutes, perfect for busy nights.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together orange juice, soy sauce, cornstarch, honey, minced garlic, and ginger to create a marinade.
- Add the diced chicken to the marinade and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour any remaining marinade into the pan and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
Serve over white or brown rice and add steamed broccoli or a green salad for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months.
