Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and butter until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually blend this into the butter mixture.
- Roll dough into balls and place them on ungreased cookie sheets. Press down slightly to flatten.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, until golden.
- For added sweetness, mix powdered sugar with a little milk to drizzle over cooled cookies.
- Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
