Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chunks (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix until well combined and smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until everything is combined.
- If desired, fold in the white chocolate chunks.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet and flatten them slightly.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking pan for 2 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can be frozen for longer storage.
