Description

Delicious cookies combining rich butter flavor with crunchy pecans, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped pecans.
  7. Refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour (or up to 2 days) to chill and firm.
  8. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and centers are slightly soft.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Make sure your butter is softened for easier mixing. Don’t skip the chilling time to help the cookies hold their shape while baking.
