Description

A warm and hearty Cajun Potato Soup with creamy texture and bold flavors, perfect for cozy dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Andouille sausage
  • 4 large Potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup Vegetables (onions, bell peppers, and celery), chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun spices
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the andouille sausage over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add diced potatoes and chopped vegetables, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in Cajun spices and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and simmer until the soup thickens.
  5. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional cheese or green onions if desired.

Notes

For added heat, include a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce. Use any sturdy potatoes like russet or Yukon gold.
