Description

A fun and rich dessert mixing soft cake, cold ice cream, sweet caramel, and dark chocolate that’s perfect for parties or quiet nights at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 chocolate cake mix
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chocolate sauce
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish


Instructions

  1. Bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
  2. Once cooled, cut the cake into two layers.
  3. Place one layer on a serving platter.
  4. Spread a layer of vanilla ice cream over the cake layer.
  5. Drizzle caramel sauce over the ice cream.
  6. Place the second layer of cake on top.
  7. Top with the remaining vanilla ice cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
  8. Freeze the cake for at least 240 minutes or until firm.
  9. Before serving, add whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings.

Notes

Bring the cake out of the freezer 10 to 15 minutes before cutting. Use a hot knife to make clean slices. Cover with plastic wrap for storage in the freezer up to one week.
