Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the sugar until combined. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Whisk in the eggs one at a time and add the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. While the brownies are baking, make the chocolate ganache by heating the heavy cream in a small saucepan until just simmering. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips in a bowl and let sit for a minute. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  8. Once the brownies are cooled, pour the chocolate ganache over them and sprinkle with chopped strawberries.
  9. Let the ganache set for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use room temperature eggs for a smoother batter. Allow brownies to cool completely before adding ganache to maintain its smoothness.
