Description

A rich brownie base topped with fresh strawberries and drizzled with melted chocolate. Perfect for parties or a cozy night in.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch pan.
  2. In a bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar until well mixed.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time and then add the vanilla. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa, and salt. Add the dry mix to the wet mix and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  7. Let the brownies cool all the way.
  8. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave or over hot water.
  9. Place the sliced strawberries on the cooled brownies and drizzle the melted chocolate on top.
  10. Let the chocolate set, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Use fresh ripe strawberries for the best taste. Let the brownies cool completely before adding fruit or chocolate. Melt chocolate slowly to keep it smooth.
