Description
A rich and creamy chocolate ganache perfect for glazing or whipping into frosting.
Ingredients
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for whipped ganache)
- 1 cup heavy cream (for whipped ganache)
Instructions
- For Glaze: In a medium heatproof bowl, combine 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/3 cup of heavy cream. Place over simmering water or microwave for about 30 seconds. Stir until melted and smooth. Cool slightly before using.
- For Whipped Ganache: In another medium bowl, combine 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup of heavy cream. Heat similarly as before until melted and smooth. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 1-2 hours. Whip with a mixer until light and fluffy.
Notes
Use quality chocolate chips for the best flavor. Allow ganache to cool before use. For whipped ganache, avoid over-whipping.
