Description
Delicious bars combining sweet chocolate with tart raspberries and a crumbly oat topping.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the greased pan to form a crust.
- In another bowl, toss raspberries with cornstarch and lemon juice. Spread the raspberries over the crust.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over the raspberries, then crumble the remaining oat mixture on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
These bars pair well with ice cream or cream and are best served warm or at room temperature.
