Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well blended.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, stirring until mixed.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon for the topping, then sprinkle evenly over the batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
Use room temperature eggs for an even mix. Do not overmix after adding flour. Let them cool fully for cleaner cuts.
