Description

Delicious large pasta shells filled with a savory mix of ground beef and cheese, baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cooked beef with ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Fill each pasta shell with the beef and cheese mixture.
  6. Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  7. Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish, then pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Let the bake sit for 5 minutes before serving to let the cheese set. For longer storage, freeze in a tight pan for up to 3 months.
