Description
Delightful cookies combining buttery flavors with crunchy chunks of Oreo cookies, perfect for parties or sweet cravings.
Ingredients
- 1 cup salted butter (at room temperature)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1.5 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups plus 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
- 0.5 tsp baking soda
- 0.5 tsp baking powder
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 10 Oreo cookies (plus 2-3 more for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking trays with parchment paper.
- Place 10 Oreo cookies into a zip lock bag and crush until no large pieces remain. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
- Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until well incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
- Scoop 3 tbsp of dough into balls and place them 2 inches apart on the baking trays.
- Press extra crushed Oreo pieces on top of each cookie dough ball.
- Bake for 11 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown.
- Let cool on the baking sheet before moving; the cookies will continue to cook on the hot pan.
Notes
For chewier cookies, slightly underbake them and allow them to cool on the hot tray.
