A rich and fun cake that combines creamy caramel, soft chocolate, and crisp toffee, perfect for parties or a weeknight treat.
Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup toffee bits
- 1 cup chocolate frosting
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- Whipped cream (for serving, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
- Poke holes in the top of the cake with a fork and drizzle caramel sauce evenly over the top.
- Sprinkle toffee bits on top of the cake.
- Frost the top with chocolate frosting and sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top.
- Serve with whipped cream if desired.
Notes
Use good quality caramel sauce for the best taste. For a lighter crumb, fold in the toffee bits gently.
