Description
Tender chicken meatballs in a rich and creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and form into meatballs.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add mushrooms and sauté until softened.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, and bring to a simmer. Stir in thyme.
- Return meatballs to the skillet, cover, and cook for about 10-15 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For added flavor, try using a mix of different mushrooms. You can also customize with different herbs or substitute ground chicken with turkey or beef.
