Description

Tender chicken meatballs in a rich and creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and form into meatballs.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and sauté until softened.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, and bring to a simmer. Stir in thyme.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet, cover, and cook for about 10-15 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, try using a mix of different mushrooms. You can also customize with different herbs or substitute ground chicken with turkey or beef.
