Description
Delicious bars mixing oats, raspberries, and dark chocolate with a crumb crust.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly.
- Press about two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Spread the raspberries evenly over the crumb base.
- Sprinkle the dark chocolate chips over the raspberries.
- Crumble the remaining oat mixture on top of the chocolate.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
Use ripe raspberries for the best taste. Press the base firm so the bars hold shape. Check at 25 minutes for doneness.
