Description

A wholesome Easy Apple Cake that brings the flavors of fresh apples into your kitchen, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¾ tablespoon baking powder
  • 3 large eggs (at room temperature)
  • ½ cup avocado oil (or any neutral cooking oil)
  • 3 medium apples (peeled and diced small; Honey Crisp recommended)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Spray a 7-inch springform pan with baking spray and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, add the flour, sugar, and baking powder, and mix them together well.
  3. Add the eggs and oil into the bowl, stirring until fully combined to create a smooth but thick batter.
  4. Gently fold the diced apples into the batter until well coated.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. About 5 minutes before the cake is done, warm the milk, butter, and sugar in a small pot over medium heat and whisk until dissolved.
  7. When the cake is done baking, gently poke holes on the top using a long skewer or chopstick.
  8. Pour the warm milk mixture over the top of the cake to soak in as it cools.
  9. Once absorbed, remove the cake from the springform pan and let it cool on a plate for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
  10. Dust the cake with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
