Ingredients
- 8 oz dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until the center is set.
- Let the torte cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
