Description
Deliciously rich and moist brownies made with ripe bananas and cocoa, perfect for a quick sweet snack.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch pan.
- In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter until the mix looks even.
- Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just mixed.
- Pour the batter into the pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes. A toothpick in the center should come out mostly clean.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan. Cut into squares when cool.
Notes
Serve plain or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Keep covered at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for 5 days. Brownies can also be frozen for 2 months.
