Description
A festive cake adorned with green buttercream and gold decorations, perfect for holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1 layer frosted cake (any size or flavor)
- ¾ cup dark green buttercream
- gold sugar pearls
- white, gold, and silver sparkling sugar
- long gold sprinkles
Instructions
- Bake one layer of cake in your chosen size and flavor and cool well.
- Make a batch of dark green buttercream, keeping some plain if desired.
- Fill, crumb coat, and frost your cake.
- Place the gold sugar pearls randomly over the cake and sprinkle sparkling sugar before the buttercream crusts.
- Fit a piping bag with a coupler and tip; practice piping on wax paper.
- Use tip #18 to pipe stars and shells, tip #101 for small ruffly trees, and tip #352 for leaves.
- Place long gold sprinkles under each tree for trunks using tweezers.
Notes
Chill the cake after the crumb coat for easier finishing. Practice piping before decorating the cake.
