Description

Rich, soft brownies that taste like a bakery treat, easy to make at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter.
  3. Stir in the sugar until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Mix in the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  8. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For best results, do not overmix the batter after adding flour. Let brownies cool well for easier cutting.
