Description

Indulge in these small, rich chocolate lava cakes with a warm, runny center, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup bittersweet or semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease 5 ramekins.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate together in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until thick.
  4. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture.
  5. Gently fold in the flour until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared ramekins and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
  8. Let them cool for 1 minute before inverting onto plates. Serve immediately.
