Description

A fun and easy dessert that combines layers of cake and ice cream for a refreshing treat.


Ingredients

  • Ice cream (any flavor)
  • Cake (store-bought or homemade)
  • Whipped cream
  • Sprinkles
  • Chocolate syrup or fruit sauce
  • Cookie crumbs (optional)


Instructions

  1. Soften your favorite flavors of ice cream until easy to spread.
  2. In a cake pan, layer a layer of cake followed by a layer of ice cream.
  3. Repeat layers until the pan is filled, ending with ice cream on top.
  4. Freeze the layered cake for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  5. Once frozen, remove from the pan and decorate with whipped cream, sprinkles, and your choice of sauce.
  6. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

Cut the cake with a warm knife for neat slices. Serve on a cold plate and pair with light cookies or a cheesecake.
