A delightful Bang Bang Chicken Bake that combines tenderness with a burst of flavor, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Whole-Egg Mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter twist)
- 1/2 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha (optional, adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoons Honey
- 2 tablespoons Lime Juice (fresh lime juice preferred)
- 1.5 pounds Boneless Chicken Thighs (can substitute with chicken breasts)
- 1 tablespoon Sweet Paprika (smoked paprika can be used)
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder (or fresh onions for extra crunch)
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon Tamari or Soy Sauce (use tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar (or coconut sugar for a healthier alternative)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (or any neutral oil)
- 2 tablespoons Spring Onion (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, lime juice, sweet paprika, onion powder, black pepper, tamari (or soy sauce), and brown sugar.
- Add the boneless chicken thighs to the bowl. Make sure the chicken is well-coated with the sauce mixture.
- In a baking dish, drizzle the olive oil. Place the chicken in the dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and has a nice golden color.
- Once done, take the dish out of the oven and sprinkle chopped spring onions on top for added flavor.
Notes
Pair with steamed rice, side salad, or your favorite vegetables. The sauce can also be used as a dipping sauce.
