Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef or sausage with the chopped onion until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, dried basil, and oregano. Bring to a boil.
- Add the broken lasagna noodles, reduce heat, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses until melted.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
Notes
