Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)
- A splash of milk (optional, for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the brown sugar and butter until smooth.
- Beat in the maple syrup and egg until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with maple syrup and milk until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
