A comforting one-pot meal combining ground beef, pasta, and vegetables in a savory tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup elbow macaroni
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper, cooking until softened.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, elbow macaroni, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
- Cover and simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the pasta is tender.
- Serve warm.
Notes
For added flavor, top with grated cheese. You can also enhance the dish by adding more vegetables like corn or peas.
