Description

Quick and rich Oreo Truffles, perfect for parties and gifts.


Ingredients

  • 36 Oreo cookies (about one standard pack)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, soft
  • 12 oz (340 g) chocolate for dip (dark or milk)
  • 1 tsp vanilla (optional)
  • Sprinkles or crushed Oreos to decorate (optional)
  • Small pinch of salt (optional)


Instructions

  1. Put the Oreo cookies in a bag and crush them to fine crumbs with a rolling pin.
  2. In a bowl, mix the Oreo crumbs with soft cream cheese and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Roll small bits of the mixture into balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Chill the balls in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  5. Melt the chocolate over hot water or in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate using a fork and let excess chocolate drip off.
  7. Add sprinkles or crushed Oreos while the chocolate is wet and let them set at room temperature or chill until firm.

Notes

Keep in a closed box or jar in the fridge for up to two weeks. For longer storage, freeze for up to two months.
