Description
Quick and rich Oreo Truffles, perfect for parties and gifts.
Ingredients
- 36 Oreo cookies (about one standard pack)
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, soft
- 12 oz (340 g) chocolate for dip (dark or milk)
- 1 tsp vanilla (optional)
- Sprinkles or crushed Oreos to decorate (optional)
- Small pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Put the Oreo cookies in a bag and crush them to fine crumbs with a rolling pin.
- In a bowl, mix the Oreo crumbs with soft cream cheese and vanilla until smooth.
- Roll small bits of the mixture into balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Chill the balls in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate over hot water or in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate using a fork and let excess chocolate drip off.
- Add sprinkles or crushed Oreos while the chocolate is wet and let them set at room temperature or chill until firm.
Notes
Keep in a closed box or jar in the fridge for up to two weeks. For longer storage, freeze for up to two months.
