Delightful twist on classic pecan pie in the form of golden, flaky rolls filled with a rich pecan mixture.
Ingredients
- 1 can crescent roll dough
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Roll out the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Place a tablespoon of the pecan mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough from the wide end to the tip, sealing the ends.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm and dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with caramel sauce for added flair. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
