Delicious and easy dessert combining the classic flavors of pecan pie with flaky crescent rolls, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 can of crescent roll dough
- 1 cup of pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of corn syrup
- 3 tablespoons of butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Open the can of crescent roll dough and separate the triangles.
- Spoon some of the pecan mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end and rolling towards the point. Pinch the edges to seal.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each roll.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the filling. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
