Description

A delightful twist on the classic pecan pie, these Pecan Pie Crescent Rolls combine the rich flavor of pecans with flaky crescent dough, making them a perfect sweet treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine granulated sugar, light corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg. Set aside 2 tablespoons of this mixture for glazing.
  3. Stir chopped pecans into the remaining sugar mixture until fully coated.
  4. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of filling onto the widest end of each triangle and roll towards the tip.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes until the dough starts to set.
  6. Remove crescent rolls from the oven and brush with the reserved sugar mixture. Return to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until lightly golden.
  7. Remove from oven and, if desired, sprinkle extra chopped pecans on top before serving.

Notes

Make sure to not overfill the crescent rolls. You can add a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
