Description

A festive and creative puff pastry treat filled with Nutella, perfect for holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 2 sheets Puff pastry
  • 3/4 cup Nutella
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Powdered sugar (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and let the puff pastry thaw for about 2 hours.
  2. Unfold the two sheets of puff pastry and place one on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Spread the Nutella evenly over the pastry.
  4. Lay the second puff pastry sheet on top of the Nutella.
  5. Cut the outline of a Christmas tree shape using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  6. Cut 1-inch strips along the sides of the Christmas tree and twist each strip away.
  7. Place a star cutout at the top of the tree.
  8. Brush the tree with an egg wash (1 egg and 1 tbsp of milk or cream).
  9. Bake for 20-30 minutes, checking at 20 minutes, until golden brown.
  10. Optionally, sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.

Notes

Best served warm, pairs well with cocoa or coffee. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
