Description
A festive and creative puff pastry treat filled with Nutella, perfect for holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
- 2 sheets Puff pastry
- 3/4 cup Nutella
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp Powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and let the puff pastry thaw for about 2 hours.
- Unfold the two sheets of puff pastry and place one on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the Nutella evenly over the pastry.
- Lay the second puff pastry sheet on top of the Nutella.
- Cut the outline of a Christmas tree shape using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
- Cut 1-inch strips along the sides of the Christmas tree and twist each strip away.
- Place a star cutout at the top of the tree.
- Brush the tree with an egg wash (1 egg and 1 tbsp of milk or cream).
- Bake for 20-30 minutes, checking at 20 minutes, until golden brown.
- Optionally, sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
Notes
Best served warm, pairs well with cocoa or coffee. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
