Description

Delicious cookies that combine the richness of caramel with a hint of salt for an addictive sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel chips
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • ½ tsp flaky sea salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the caramel chips and chocolate chips if using.
  7. Scoop the dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt before baking.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze wrapped cookies.
