Description

A simple yet delicious chicken dish with creamy sour cream and melty cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, cornstarch, oregano, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste; stir until smooth.
  4. Top each chicken breast with a slice of mozzarella cheese.
  5. Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over the chicken and sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for about 60 minutes or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and cheese is golden.
  7. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add fresh herbs or spices to the sour cream mixture. Can substitute cornstarch with gluten-free options.
