Description

A sweet twist on classic brownies, featuring real strawberry bits for a fresh and fruity treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup small fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch pan.
  2. In a bowl, stir together sugar and melted butter.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped strawberries and chocolate chips, if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, testing with a toothpick for doneness.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, cut strawberries small to blend well, and dry them slightly to avoid extra moisture in the batter.
