Description
A comforting baked dish featuring jumbo pasta shells stuffed with ricetta, ground beef, and topped with marinara and mozzarella.
Ingredients
- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
- Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning; cook until browned.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with a bit of salt and pepper.
- Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the ricotta mixture, then place them in a baking dish.
- Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with a green side or salad. Can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for 2 months.
