Description

A light and healthy grilled chicken recipe, perfect for summer gatherings and quick family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons good olive oil
  • Kosher salt (to taste)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: a squeeze of lemon

Instructions

  1. Fire up the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry. Brush both sides with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill for 6-8 minutes per side, flipping after 4 minutes to allow a crust to form.
  4. Check for doneness: Juices should run clear and an instant-read thermometer should read 165°F at the thickest part.
  5. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in your favorite sauce for a few hours prior to grilling.
