Festive cookies combining classic chocolate chip flavors with white chocolate and peppermint for a delightful holiday treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint candies.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra peppermint flavor, consider using peppermint extract in addition to vanilla extract. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
