Description

Classic, warm, and gooey chocolate chip cookies that are perfect for sharing and enjoying fresh-baked.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 dl all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 115 g butter (room temperature)
  • 1 dl granulated sugar
  • 1 dl brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 dl chocolate chips (dark or milk chocolate)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190 °C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter with the granulated and brown sugars until creamy and fluffy.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and egg to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring gently with a spatula until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the dough.
  7. Shape the dough into balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, about 5 cm apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The center may still look soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months.
